Family Charity Muscle Help Foundation Hires Wavelength PR to ...

WetWheels_Muscle_Dreams_2013The Muscle Help Foundation (MHF) has appointed Hertfordshire-based PR consultancy Wavelength PR, to help raise the charity’s profile. MHF sees the appointment as a key step, using PR to help increase its individual donor and corporate fundraising streams.

Wavelength PR has been charged with raising awareness of the charity and its activities, which include a high profile London fundraiser at the Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall on Tuesday 19th the guest auctioneer, together with a fun dinner party initiative for all the family called ‘Meatballs4MuscleDreams’.

MHF raises money to provide unforgettable experiences in the UK, known as Muscle Dreams, for children and young people with the muscle wasting disease Muscular Dystrophy. November, at which Jeffrey Archer will be Wavelength PR will also reinforce the link between Michael McGrath, the charity’s CEO, and the work of MHF. McGrath is an experienced and inspiring motivational business speaker, who specialises particularly in the corporate, education and public sectors.

He was himself diagnosed with the genetic, muscle-wasting disease, Muscular Dystrophy, when he was 18yrs and is currently the first and only disabled person in the world to have successfully led expeditions to both the North and South Poles. McGrath is enthusiastic about the appointment of Wavelength PR and the prospects it brings for the charity. “As a small but growing charity in the Muscular Dystrophy space with ambitious plans, this is a key appointment. I was looking for a passionate PR partner that knew about our work and can grow with us. Key to our decision-making process was the need to identify a PR business with a proven track-record, a team-player that ‘gets’ what we do and how we do it.

The agency needed to understand our core aims, deliverables and future aspirations. Moreover, we wanted to appoint a progressive partner that has the capability and depth of PR expertise to deliver results based on a very focused PR plan of action and who knows Hertfordshire. Above all, we wanted to work with an organisation with similar values that’s passionate and personable; I believe that we have found this in Wavelength PR, under its director Lydia Drukarz.”

Based in Bushey, Hertfordshire, Wavelength PR comprises of two highly experienced PR experts, Lydia Drukarz and Paul Atkinson. The agency was established in 2010 but Drukarz and Atkinson have over 35 years’ combined experience in the PR and marketing industry. The company specialises in promoting brands, businesses and services across corporate, entertainment, charity/not-for-profit, lifestyle, literary, property, travel/tourism and financial/accountancy sectors. Their expertise is in creating first class, bespoke PR campaigns for each of their clients.

Lydia Drukarz says:

“We don’t believe in the ‘one size fits all’ type of campaign. Understanding our client’s businesses and their needs and providing a personal one-to-one approach is key to our company ethos.

“We are delighted to be working with Michael and the Muscle Help Foundation, an extraordinary charity that I know works tirelessly behind the scenes to change lives and give hope. I have known Michael for a number of years; he is such an inspiring role model for young people, whether they have Muscular Dystrophy or not.

“My son and I were privileged to work as volunteers with him during the charity’s flagship 2012 ‘Games Inspired Muscle Dreams’ programme last summer at the Paralympic Games. It was a humbling experience and one that we will never forget. Wavelength PR is committed to raising awareness of MHF and its activities within the local, regional and national media, and to help bring in funding so that the charity can continue its work.”
